Car Park Barriers
Car Park Barriers are effective at controlling access at car park entrances, at service yards and around restricted zones. There are several factors to consider when deciding on the best barriers for your facility. These include how much space is available, whether routine access is required, and the type of traffic frequenting the area.
Rising Boom Barriers: These car park barriers feature a pivoting arm which rises so that it is perpendicular with ground level when in the ‘open’ position. Unlike gate these barriers these require less space - since there is no requirement for a swing area at ground level. There are two options for assisting barrier operation: Via a counterweight located opposite the base side, or via a gas-assist cylinder, as featured in our Easy Lift Barrier. The Easy Lift system offers the advantage of requiring no space at the other side of the base, allowing for more room for vehicles.
Swing Barriers: These act akin to car park gates. Rather than rising into the air as boom barriers do, swing barriers swing open and lock position. Our Autobahn Access Control Swing Barrier is one of the most popular in this range, featuring a locking support post for both open and closed barrier positions. Benefiting from surface-mounting installation, barriers are easy to put into place and ideal for use at schools, in lock-ups, and in hotel car parks. Our Swivelling Gates offer a stylish solution since they don’t require support posts for locked and open positions – therefore it’s not necessary to block off the entire opening, just enough room to enable a car to pass through. An opening of 4 metres wide would require a barrier of just 3 metres to block cars when closed.
We also stock a range of height restriction barriers, perfect for when you need to prevent unwanted commercial vehicles and caravans out of your premises.
